From a moving train to an actionable inspection event.

MVIS is designed as a complete inspection workflow: trigger the inspection, capture synchronized data, analyse configured regions, generate evidence, verify the finding and connect the result to the operational process.

01 / TRIGGER

Detect the asset

Configured sensors and triggering logic identify the inspection window and synchronize acquisition with train movement.

02 / CAPTURE

Acquire the scene

Multiple cameras and optical channels capture the defined inspection regions with controlled timing.

03 / PREPARE

Prepare the data

Images can be enhanced, synchronized, segmented and organized for analysis.

04 / ANALYSE

Interpret

Configured vision models and rules evaluate relevant regions and identify potential abnormalities.

05 / EVIDENCE

Create the event

Findings are connected with images and contextual information to create a reviewable inspection record.

06 / VERIFY

Review & respond

Authorized personnel verify the observation and follow the applicable railway maintenance or operational procedure.

Why the workflow matters.

A defect detector without context can create additional work. MVIS therefore treats evidence, asset context and review as part of the inspection product itself.

The workflow can be designed so each event has a clear origin: which train movement produced it, which inspection zone was involved, what the system observed and what verification state the finding reached.

Human-in-the-loop by design.

Automated detection is positioned as decision support. A highlighted image does not replace the governing railway inspection procedure.

This approach keeps the system useful for high-volume visual screening while preserving the role of authorized inspection and maintenance personnel in final disposition.
